On the first weekend of October 2021 one of the biggest Hungarian mineral shows has been held at Budapest in the MOM Sport hall. Dozens of dealers gathered to exhibit their goods to the esteemed audience. And I know this surprise strikes you like a lightning bolt but... one of them was me!

On the 1st of October evening my beautiful and utterly supportive girlfriend helped me pack and at the exhibition hall unpack the minerals I wanted to exhibit on my amazingly HUGE (1x1 meter) table. It was not difficult to fully cover that area, haha! By 9 PM the unpacking’s been finished and we left. I was very much looking forward to the upcoming two days because those were special for me - it was the start of my eRocks auction and it was the day when I was about to announce the debut of the Rockaholik website and its corresponding Facebook page. And to say the least it was the very first mineral show my girlfriend and I attended. So as you can imagine I could barely sleep that night.

Then the next two days were fantastic! Not only because of all the rocks exhibited in the huge sports hall but mostly because of all the people I met - all the newly acquainted „old pickaxes” who told us hilarious stories of their collecting trips, the collector and dealer friends whom I met a long time ago because of the Covid situation, all the fantastic collectors who visited my humble stand and approached me to ask questions being them beginners or long time collectors and of course my beloved significant other. It was an exceptional experience and I hope we all around the world will be able to attend shows safely and more and more freely from now on. Stay safe, fellow Rockaholik and keep rockin’!
