This Quartz specimen comes from Cavnic (Kapnikbánya), ROM in the size of 5.2 x 5.4 x 2.3 cm (inventory number #19xx04). The length of the main crystal is 5.8 cm which is not staggering from this locality by any means. For one what I find interesting about this specimen is the etching on every 2nd prism face of the main crystal while none of the sidecars are etched. The other interesting feature is the small bubble phantoms in each crystals - if you look closely (or contact me for higher resolution pictures) you can most easily see it in the smallest crystal on these pictures.
