A pair of Calcite nodule halves stuffed with lustrous translucent crystals with part of the surface covered by a thin brownish layer. This small deposit of ooids near lake Balaton in Hungary mainly consist of Permian red sandstone in which the nodules mainly contain Calcite (they are usually lined with Quartz and they rarely contain Baryte). A nice specimen of its kind as the nodules with lustrous Calcite crystals are quite uncommon. The specimen currently belongs to a private collection.
