This Siderite on Galena specimen comes from Herja , Romania in the size of 8.0 x 6.5 x 2.7 cm (inventory number #200526). There've been hexagonal Pyrrhotite plates which then pseudomorphed into Marcasite. The Galena then cemented the Marcasite plates together, grew between and on them and finally wonderful, rhombohedral, translucent golden Siderite crystallized on the Galena. It currently belongs to a private collection.
